MBZ Brabus vs The Mrs

MBZ Brabus vs The Mrs

So, you gotta have the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class AMG, do you? Brabus – Mercedes’ eponymous collaborator – has released its own version of the 2014 S-Class that is powered by a whopping 730 ponies! The iconic German tuning house has yet again successfully engineered an entire collection of upgrades for the full-sized sedan. As always, the essence of any Brabus beast would have to be the engine, which is offered in three distinct iterations. For the light-hearted, there is the B50S, which adds 65 horsepower to the S550 for a total of 520 hp and 604 pound-feet of torque. For those who are a bit more power-hungry, there’s the B63 which essentially ups the S63 AMG to 650 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, for those who cannot be restrained, the B63S packs a punch of 730 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque to the stealthy sedan. Needless to say, none of these versions are slouches in any way, shape, or form and the aforementioned numbers more than prove this.

Ok, so you’ve got the power; now, you need to make sure everyone sees that you’ve got it and that they actually enjoy looking at your new toy. Aside from the mind-blowing power and blinding speed, aesthetics is an aspect of automotive tuning that speaks volumes. As such, Brabus has also made sure to appease the sense of sight as well. Offering an aero kit, two distinct styles of monoblock wheels that range from 19” to 21”, a lowered suspension, and a sport exhaust, Brabus completes its over-the-top yet oh-so-irresistible package.

Power…looks…what else do you need? Oh yah…a wife that won’t make you sleep on the couch if you decide to “surprise” her with a Brabus S-Class one day. And if she does make you sleep on the couch, you can just sleep in your safe and sound S-Class instead. You win either way.
