E5 Form Forged process: how the wheels are made

How it’s made: the Form Forged process

The Sebring 2P’s barrel is produced with E5’s flow-forming process, then paired with the split-spoke center for a true two-piece design.

1. Mount & heat
The wheel blank is mounted to the forming drum and heated to prepare the aluminum for shaping.

2. Roll forming
Hydraulic rollers apply calculated pressure to the spinning barrel, extending it into the rim profile.

3. Compression & stretch
The barrel is compressed and stretched to its final width and thickness, aligning the grain structure.

4. Finalized barrel
The result is a thinner, lighter, stronger barrel with forged-like durability and load capacity.

Installation & torque specs (C8 Z06 / E-Ray / ZR1)

Professional installation is recommended. Clean the hub face, hand-thread lugs in a star pattern, torque to 50% then to final spec, and re-check after 50–100 miles. After transferring TPMS sensors, run the relearn procedure from the vehicle menu or a scan tool.

Warranty

E5 warrants its wheels against defects in material and workmanship for five years from retail purchase, including the finish, and against structural failure under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns them. Racing, accidents and improper installation or maintenance are not covered.
