E5 Wheels for Corvette: The C5–C8 Fitment and Tire Guide

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport on E5 Speedway wheels in Titanium Brushed Tint

Shop Talk · Corvette · E5 Wheels

Most wheel brands build one wheel and drill it for fifty cars. E5 builds for one car: the Corvette. That's why an E5 set sits flush, clears the big brakes and fills the arches the way the factory wheels never quite do.

We fit and install E5 wheels on Corvettes every week at our Southern California shop, from C5 Z06s to brand-new C8 ZR1s. This guide is the cheat sheet we use at the counter: the E5 lineup, which construction to pick, the exact sizes for your generation and the tires we actually mount on them.

The E5 lineup: Form Forged vs 2-piece vs fully forged

E5 makes seven designs in three constructions. All of them bolt straight on. The difference is how the wheel is made, how much it weighs and how much you want to spend. Tap any wheel to see it up close.

Our honest take: for 90% of Stingray and Grand Sport owners, Form Forged is the right answer. It looks the part, it's tough enough for track days, and it leaves budget for tires. Go 2-piece or fully forged when you own a widebody C8 and want the wheel to match the car's price tag.

The 19/20 setup reuses your factory tire sizes. The 20/21 setup is the one we fit most on Stingrays: it fills the arches and gives the car a wider, lower stance.

Which tires should you run?

The wheel gets the attention, but the tire decides how the car drives. Here's what we mount on Corvettes:

Our first pickMichelin Pilot Sport 4S

The benchmark for a street Corvette: sharp, predictable grip, great in the wet and long-lasting for a summer tire.

Close secondPirelli P Zero

The factory-style feel many owners already know, and available in every Corvette size.

Cold mornings?Ask about all-season

Summer tires get hard below about 45°F. If your Vette sees winter, we'll match an all-season to your size.

Why Corvette owners buy E5 from us

Anyone can sell you a box of wheels. What you're really paying for is the person who checks that they fit. We're an authorized E5 dealer with our own install bays, and we test-fit new sizes on real customer cars before we recommend them. When a combination rubs, we find out first, not you.

Order a wheel and tire package and it shows up ready to bolt on: mounted, Road Force balanced, with black lug nuts included and your factory TPMS sensors transferred. If you're in Southern California, we'll install it while you wait.

FAQ

Do E5 wheels need spacers or hub rings on a Corvette?

No. Every E5 set is hub-centric and offset for its specific Corvette, so it bolts on with no spacers or rings.

Can I reuse my factory TPMS sensors?

Yes. E5 wheels accept the factory Corvette TPMS sensors. We transfer them for free with any wheel and tire package.

What tires fit a C8 Stingray on 20/21-inch wheels?

We run 255/30R20 up front and 325/25R21 in the rear on the 20x9 / 21x12 setup. Our first pick is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, followed by the Pirelli P Zero.

What's the difference between Form Forged and forged?

Form Forged uses a cast face with a flow-formed barrel, which is stretched under heat and pressure for strength close to forged at a much lower price. E5 Forged wheels are machined from a single solid forging, the lightest and strongest option.

Will C7 Z06 wheels fit a C7 Stingray?

No. The Z06 and Grand Sport use a wider widebody setup (19x10 / 20x12). Stingrays need the 19x9.5 / 20x11 set.

How long does an E5 order take?

Form Forged and Sebring 2P sets usually ship from stock. E5 Forged sets are made to order in about 4 weeks. Contact us to check current availability.

Not sure which set fits?

Send us your year, trim and the look you're after. We'll confirm fitment and quote a ready-to-install wheel and tire package.

Tire sizes are our recommended fitments at factory ride height. Lowered cars, aggressive alignment or non-factory brakes may change what fits, so ask us before ordering. Prices are starting prices for complete sets and may change.
